Truly, these three shoe brands indeed have sky rocketing sales in the market. I have been eyeing for years these high ends brand on how and why they have become a must-have for girls. Perhaps, shoes made always a great impression to people, and sometimes it had become a basis of your status in the society. However, the flamboyance glamour was then created by shoe makers.

Monsieur Louboutin a French creator of Christian Louboutin, is the man behind the red sole. His inspiration for making such intricate and genuinely designed piece brought him to fame as A-lister's actors in the Hollywood are queuing to purchase his collection.
Señor Manolo a Spanish maker of Manolo Blahnik made it to the top as “Sex in the City” character Carrie Bradshaw always mentions its brand. He turned back his attention to the stiletto heel, which has remained the brand's mainstay to this day. Manolo Blahnik shoes have rapidly become a symbol of pure classical style for the 21st century.

Dato Choo, a Malaysian, the founder of Jimmy Choo is one of the few gentlemen who competes with elegance in terms of shoes. It had become very iconic because of its class and demand. It’s been years, since he had started and up to now this shoe brand still becomes a commodity for girls around the world.
These three gentlemen made the shoe fashion industry so chic and artistry. But, what do they have in common?
All of them have the shoe obsession like no other.

The rise and fall…to stand soon John Galliano

It’s flamboyant. It’s opulent. It’s beautiful. It’s John Galliano, but who is he? The designer behind the true ingenuity and surreal sophistication of glamour and women, nonetheless, he, the master of innovative creativeness and imaginative patters. From his fantastical clothes, to his colorful background, Galliano’s charmed rise to fame reads not unlike a fairy tale. His genius is his ability to communicate this through his clothes. He also has an immense ambition. Behind his gentle aesthetic, John Galliano is a powerhouse, a man whose ambition to go down in history as one of fashion’s great is awesome, even intimidating.

As the best couturier of his era he was appointed as the head designer of Givenchy. He was the first British designer, to ever, command a French haute couture house (a high-class custom-fitted clothing company) as he believes that fashion should have a correct presentation to capture the eyes of the people and make good impression about it.

His theatrical approach changed the whole view of fashion by far; Galliano changed the perception of fashion shows by delivering an arousing and exciting experience to his audience. He allowed them to experience haute couture first hand. He brought in super models coming in from all directions, from the stage, from trap doors, from backstage, and from down the aisles. He teased and displayed the many lovely spectacles of fashion, a breath-taking experience right in front of his audience face to face.  He was revolutionary and that alone launched his career. He changed the aspect of a fashion show into an unforgettable event to attend.

Galliano:“My dresses are very reasonably priced, for dresses that are cut on the body."
Galliano:“The colors, we start off very stark, black, white, and flashes of red.
And then it becomes quite pretty, Colorful, lyrical.”
Galliano: "You only get a short life, so take chances.”
Galliano:“The print is devised so that I can cut the dresses on the bias, so they work
around the body. It's not like a regular print that you buy and ends up being a
vertical and a horizontal placement. It works around the body.”
Galliano:“I'm an accomplice to helping women get what they want."

Galliano:“There's room for the Gap, but the joy of dressing is an art."
Galliano:“But I'm going to be a real good boy and take it day by day and try to
concentrate on what's most important to me, and that's offering women a service."
Galliano:“I don't care about money. I really don'tcare. I just want to do what I do."
Galliano:“Once you lock eyes with her, you are mesmerized.
Ever since I met her she enchanted and inspired me.”
Within two years, the owner of Givenchy appointed Galliano to replace Christian Dior Italian designer Ferré while Alexander McQueen replaced Galliano at Givenchy as the head designer.

Jan 1997 – Galliano first couture show on Christian Dior’s 50th anniversary.
Galliano: “But I'm not an artist; Maybe an artist with a small a."

The Galliano couture skyrocketed. As fame and fortune came in as a result of his creations being desired by many, his fashion shows during the past 17 years became the event to attend. People purchase tickets well in advance, and that pushed Galliano to create bigger and greater things every year.

Galliano: “Dressing up. People just don't do it anymore. We have to change that."
However, like a house of cards it all came crashing down. The world had forgotten how demanding it is to be a head fashion designer.

It's been noted that the world has become less tolerant. As we see in the news, many public figures fall from just uttering a word or a belief that disturbs the generally accepted principle of being politically correct. John Galliano, Christian Dior head designer, isn't immune from making anti-Semitic remarks at a Paris Bar during Fashion Week (Feb2011). The incident started a cascade of events when people, like the American Movie Star Natalie Portman, associated with Dior pulls their support for the Fashion Company.

Within a week, the damage has escalated to the police arrest of Galliano for his remarks. The people have taken to the video waves of the internet to show their displeasure of Dior's fame Head Designers remarks at a Paris Bar.

Mar2011, Christian Dior decided to dismiss John Galliano. It's really sad that to see how alcohol and drug abuse can change his personality. This incident is, perhaps, the worst form of wake-up call for the fame designer. He has no memory of the occurrence.

The apology as politically demanded is followed by a series of actions to re-gain people's understanding and compassion and perhaps one day the people will forgive the designer for his remarks. Only time will tell. Dior reports that they will continue to support the head designer's brand without their head designer.

The reactions by many fashion journalists ponder about the future of Dior and its fame brand without its head designer. It's really a big upset to the company as it tries to find ways to return to its "business as usual" model in the months to come. Perhaps this opens doors for other famous designers to try for the head designer position. Should Dior be unable to fill the position from within the company?

Rumors started to spread as to who will fill Galliano shoes. After a fail attempt to restore his position at Dior, his lawyer quits and Galliano has the intent to sue him. At the John Galliano's autumn/winter 2011 collections, Dior went on without him and perhaps will be the last time the public will see of Galliano’s creations, for the time being.

With the first anniversary of Alexander McQueen's death by suicide, we’re reminded by what the pressures, stresses and constant demands to deliver-the-goods can lead to; self-destruction and burn-out. Will Galliano see and understand this? What will he decide? Will he temp fate?

Galliano claimed to have "no recollection" of the events and denied the charges against him. He could face a six-month prison term and a £21,000 fine. A verdict will be given on September 8.

Rumors continue to circulate until the Galliano trial verdict.
  • Galliano could return to Dior.
  • It is rumored American born Designer Marc Jacobs might take over as creative director of Dior.  Could this signal the end of the Galliano era at Dior?
  • Other designers also being considered:
    • Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz
    • Balenciaga’s Nicolas Ghesquiere
    • Rodarte’s Kate and Laura Mulleavy
    • Jason Wu, who did Michelle Obama’s inauguration gown.

Red Carpet – “Their Defining Moment”

After the Red Carpet has been rolled out and the celebrities begin to step on it, this is the time they’ve all been waiting for. Their “defining moment” to flaunt everything they have at this one occasion.

However, we must wonder. How much did each female celebrity spend on their custom-made gown, jewelry and shoes? It may not have been easy for them to pick out their outfit. They want to look glamorous for the occasion.

Posing at the event doesn’t take an hour it’s only for a couple of minutes. They have to dress to impress the press and their audience. Walking up into the spot light of fashion is never easy task. They take courage in their appearance before the world.

Please take note when the fashion police are always on the other side of constructive criticism. The world is waiting to admire the stylish look of their celebrity and to hear how they rank among the other attendees. The fashion police are out to judge what each celebrity has worked for in this hour at this moment, which is to please to their loyal adoring fans surrounding them.

Yay or nay, In or out. The critical judging has been shared with the public. What worst could have happened? They could be laughed at as if they are in the wrong place and time. Honestly, coming to a Red Carpet event takes a lot of courage and effort just to give credit to their stylists, their make-up artists and their dress designer. However, this is their “defining moment” to be there in the public eye to see what award they will win this evening.

It appears that being at this public property is so territorial. What should have been done to look good? They press said the celebrity picked the famous couturiers from Versace, Gucci, Armani Prive, Christian Dior, Cavalli or Valentino, and you can never go wrong. Perhaps you will look like a million bucks and by no means look at like a clown.

The iconic looks at the Red Carpet capture the hearts of the fashion industry, past and present. Here are some of the best to admire. Now try your chance to see if you can rank them in order of the best like the fashion police.

I may not be an expert in fashion, but fashion is all about you. Dress for yourself and not for what other people think. Look good but not look like trash. Be beautiful and be confident as according to Diana Vreeland said "The only real elegance is in the mind; if you’ve got that, the rest really comes from it."

Jane Birkin

Did you ever wonder how this bag was made??

I sure did. And this is the story I found out about.

In 1981, “I was on an airplane when a plastic bag holding all my things broke and everything fell out — my date book, papers, everything. Just as I was saying how I wish Hermès would make a bag that could fit all my things, the man sitting next to me happened to work for Hermès — it was Jean-Louis Dumas, the head designer! They already had the Kelly bag, named after Grace Kelly, so he began work on the Birkin bag. I went down to the atelier, and he had made it in cardboard. And we talked about it, and I said they should make some changes, like making pockets bigger. And that’s how it was made.”  Jane Birkin.

Thanks to you, the Birkin bag was born.

The bag symbolizes the luxury, the fashion and the wealth of its buyer. It's well sought after and elusive to the select few that can afford the status it brings.

( Cool video - its rated five stars )
Its Luxurious and Exclusive.

Its like you're part of a special club

So, what's with this bag?

“It’s not just a bag darling it’s a Birkin.” (Sex in the City)

The bags are handmade in France by expert artisans. The saddle stitching is the most distinctive feature of Hermès Birkin. The production turnaround time is approximately forty-eight hours. The bags are hand sewn, buffed, painted and polish on a very tight schedule. The Company justifies the cost of the Birkin with meticulous craftsmanship and scarcity.

It may be looked upon as one of the most recognized bag in the fashion industry and by the public but acquiring a piece of it does not sound easy at all. Celebrities and elites are on the queue of owning a Hermès Birkin to flaunt it in public eye.

It can be agreed with absolute certainty; the appeal of Hermès's bags is due to its high-quality sentiments, the plumper size, the choice of colors, and its simpler design.

The Hermès outlet testifies, “Hermès Birkin is the symbol of holy and beauty in women's heart. They are among the options of ladies in upper class and special taste. We know that the bag is preferred by practically every person well-known or abundant lady. For the high Hermès Birkin price range, it does worth. Having such a bag any fashion lady could catch the celebrity style with great satisfaction. Think about the daily life that Hermès Birkin bags occupy an amazingly considerable placement. Remember, Hermès Birkin handbags are the epitome of fashion and luxury, forever.”

With a price range of 6,900 to 150,000 USD depending on style desired, I am a wholeheartedly believer it places itself in the special spot in every women’s heart who owns a Hermès Birkin.

Raw energy, Provocative fashion shows,
Juxtapose strength with fragility.

This is Alexander McQueen.

British fashion indeed escalates to another dimension as Alexander McQueen got into the spotlight. His creation demonstrates his true personality of being rebellious to his freedom of expression. Thus, his creativity proved his in depth-knowledge of bespoke cuts and tailoring.

He once said “As a designer you always got to push yourself forward. You've always got to keep up with trends and or make your own trends.” Based from the skills of his apprenticeship, it gave him the huge reputation of the fashion world which brought him to fame. His strong portfolio gave him the chance to be the creative director of Givenchy and Gucci.

Being part of these two fashion houses gained him criticism but that didn’t stop him to create, renovate and explore his imagination and continue to capture audiences with his artistic approach in every runway.

As models strutting in the catwalk, It gained controversies from spraying paint to a hologram, because of his vulgar persuasion to fashion elites and celebrities is always looking forward to not to be part of controversy but to be part of his collection. Editors attest, he has the vision of authentic artistry. His collections may not be wearable by common people, but he always defined and set new trend and in style in fashion. Alexander McQueen “extraordinary imagination ran the gamut from the breathtakingly lovely and to the plain and morbid.” Why? “I used to do it to checked people, to provoke a reaction, but now I just do it for myself. The show always reflects where I am emotionally in my own life” he quotes.

Some of his famous masterpieces . . .

With his fast rising to stardom celebrities are flocking to be dressed by him custom-made. I wonder how much his creations are figured, five to six digits perhaps. But still “At the end of the day, I’m left with the real me. What you see is what you get” his famous line because he believes “I’m interested in designing for posterity. People who buy McQueen are going to hand the clothes to their children, and that’s very rare today."

Sad but then he was found the dead and people are grieving because of his lose. We are deeply touched for the sudden death of Alexander McQueen, a designer whom we have always admired for his creative genius and unmatched inspiration. He leaves the fashion world with an infallible void.” No one can beat him. No one will ever be as good as him. “He was a charming man but also quite fragile.”

RIP Alexander McQueen.
